Founded
in 1929, the International Hospital Federation convenes national associations
of hospitals, Ministries of Health, health institutions and individual members.
With its head-office in Ferney Voltaire/Geneva, it is present in more than 100
countries and its associates are responsible for 50,000 hospitals and health services
organizations, attending 3 billion people.
The federation has as its main goal the improvement of health in the world,
through a global exchange of experiences and management techniques, as well as
the development of health services professional networks. IHF maintains official
relationship with the World Health Organization, the World Medical Association
