Windsor Barra, the hotel that will host the 36th World Hospital Congress, has received an award as the best hotel in Brazil in the category “Events and Business”, given by Guia Quatro Rodas.

Published for the first time by Editora Abril in 1965, the guide “Guia Quatro Rodas Brasil” is the main national publication. It covers over 200 thousand kilometers of Brazilian roads and it presents a renowned classification system for hotels, restaurants and attractions for visitors.

For the 2009 edition, 5,589 hotels were evaluated in six categories: Deluxe, Inn, Resort, Events and Business, Spa and Sustainable Hotel. Each hotel was evaluated in ten basic requisites: Structure, Location, Rooms, Social Area, Circulation, Conservation, Events Area, Leisure, Ambience and Services.

Unanimous choice
Chosen unanimously, Windsor Barra received the award in the category Events and Business for having an exclusive lobby for events, where both small meetings and large congresses may be held.

The total area of the congresses is distributed in four floors. The circulation counts on: independent entrance, besides large and well-lit foyers in granite, escalators, exclusive elevator, electronic panels and many reception desks, facilitating the location, access and dispersion of visitors. Each floor has a kitchen of its own and each room has a space for coffee-break adequate to its size.

The rooms have central air-conditioning, carpet and all equipment. The Windsor Room, the only one outside the complex, in the 17th floor, takes advantage of a gorgeous beach view and may also be transformed into a ballroom.
