With
just over four months for the 36th World Hospital Congress, in Rio de Janeiro,
the number of registrations to the event is rapidly growing. After a series of
promotional activities in Brazil and abroad, many countries are already announcing
their delegations. "We are very pleased with the good repercussion the Congress
is obtaining internationally," commented the President of CNS - National
Health Confederation – Brazil and Chairman of the IHF Congress Rio 2009,
Dr. José Carlos Abrahão.
"Peru has already sent the registration of a group of 100 participants, Colombia
another 50 and countries such as Argentina, Chile and Uruguay should enroll at
least 20 participants each," he said.
Outside Latin America, “we had the pleasant surprise of Korea, which is
registering 20 participants; France 25 and Japan 20, Spain which will bring 20
to 30 participants and Austria will come with 10 participants. In addition, the
United States and Canada should send several delegations, all which already confers
a strong international character to the event", emphasized Dr. Abrahão.
Entities are getting together
The divulging and promotion of the 36th World Hospital Congress for the Brazilian
market intensify as of now. During Hospitalar 2009, the event had a promotional
booth, which hosted many visitors seeking information. All the participants to
the simultaneous events of the Fair also received the folders with program information
on the event as well as registration procedures. "Several healthcare federations
and associations across the country are getting ready for the Congress. Santa
Catarina, for example, has included 40 participants a number that should grow
further in the coming months," celebrates the chairman of the CNS.
The 36th World Hospital Congress is a realization of the IHF - International
Hospital Federation, an organization congregating hospitals and healthcare establishments
in nearly 100 countries. This will be the first edition of the Congress in Latin
America, and to carry the event out, the IHF has the partnership of the CNS -
National Health Confederation – Brazil and of Hospitalar Forum + Fair. The
event will take place next November 10th to 12th, in the city of Rio de Janeiro,
with an estimated participation of 2,000 professionals.
