Several foreign delegations have already confirmed they will attend the congress IHF is promoting in Rio de Janeiro, next November. France and Argentina have registered 40 participants. Other countries, namely Austria (18 participants), Korea (20), Colombia (50) and Japan are organizing important groups for the event.

Angola has also announced its participation in IHF Rio 2009, with a commission headed by the Minister of Health, José Van-Dúnem.
