Alexandre Lima Ribeiro Didier Robin

Dalkia, the world leading provider of energy management, utilities and infrastructure, will bring to the RIO IHF 2009 its integrated solutions for hospitals around the world. The company is focused on global energy management and support functions, through training and professional development of employees, cost controls and processes, considering the risks of the hospital infrastructure.

This is the third time Dalkia participates in the Congress and the company regards the event in Rio de Janeiro as strategic, because it is the opportunity to demonstrate the desire to become the preferred partner to hospitals in Latin America, as the executives, Alexandre Lima Ribeiro, National Manager of Business Development of Dalkia Brazil, and Didier Robin, Healthcare World Director of Dalkia International told during this interview.

Could you talk a little about the company's performance in Brazil? Figures and objectives?
Dalkia Brazil currently has a total R$ 200 million turnover, of which R$40 million correspond to the healthcare division of the company. Our outlook for 2009 is a 35% growth, thus reaching a R$55 million turnover. The company's strategic planning for the next ten years focuses on healthcare as a major source of growth and indicates an estimated turnover of almost R$400 million.

One of the company's objectives is to improve the energy consumption. At a time of financial crisis, would a measure like this make the difference?
Dalkia is the global leader in energy management, utilities and infrastructure. During this period of economic uncertainty, there is often volatility in energy costs, leading to high prices. Dalkia helps its clients to manage their energy demands and therefore, their consumption, also supporting the sustainable development. Within the healthcare sector, we have the capabilities to optimize the efficiency of the support areas of the hospital, through the management and staff training, cost and processes control and support during the risk management of the hospital infrastructure. Thus creating more efficient and economical processes that will contribute to the enhancement of the current ambiance, under the social, economic and environmental point of view. Dalkia offers a range of indeed unique services, tailored to the needs of hospitals that operate in challenging environments of continuous risk.

What do you expect from your participation in the Congress?
This is the 3rd time we participate in the IHF Congress. Healthcare is a strategic sector and of high growth potential for Dalkia. The IHF gives us the opportunity to share our vision of healthcare problems, such as PPP projects, sustainable development, energy management, sterilization, etc.. We believe that this Congress will be very important for the healthcare market in Latin America and essential to provide the countries with a range of solutions that will meet their challenges and needs. The RIO IHF 2009 is the ideal opportunity to demonstrate our desire to be the preferred partner of hospitals in Latin America.
