Anahp brings together leaders during the IHF RIO 2009

The Brazilian Association of Private Hospitals (Anahp) will attend the 36th World Hospital Congress, during the two days prior to the event. On Sunday, November 8th, the Meeting of Anahp Leaders is restricted to the hospitals accredited to the entity and on Monday, November 9th, will take place the 9th Anahp Forum, open to the public.

For the president of the entity, Dr. Henrique Salvador, holding the event in Brazil represents the recognition of the world hospital community that Brazil has plenty to offer. Says Dr. Salvador “Brazil has much to offer in service rendering. Every time there is a similar event to this one, there is a tremendous evolution in management and in the administration of the institutions. The Congress will be a most welcome motivator for the Brazilian healthcare sector”.

Henrique Salvador added also that the 36th World Hospital Congress is very important for all those who dealing with and get involved in the hospital world in Brazil. “ We sincerely hope for an exchange of information, of experiences, of benchmarking opportunity and interaction”, he said, highlighting that Brazil has over four thousand private hospitals, therefore holding this event is of utmost importance for the sector as a whole. “ The reality of the hospital will be discussed during the conferences and we shall have the opportunity to find out the common points among the institutions and the other countries. Combining this knowledge we will be able to develop a better healthcare as a whole” he states.

Anahp holds two days of pre-congress: on Sunday, November 8th the Anahp Leaders Meeting, a private event only for the directors of the entity; on the agenda, presentation of the first results of the new model of governance adopted by Anahp.

On Monday, November 9th, will be held the 9th Anahp Forum, a yearly event, open to the public. The expectation, according to Salvador is to have an alignment between hospitals and doctors and that solutions for problems such as the relation with the operators, regulations and management might be discussed. “The service providers have reciprocal interests and we are trying to conciliate expectations” he said.

Still according to Dr. Henrique Salvador, this year the Forum was transferred to Rio de Janeiro to accompany the World Congress. And he explains: “Our intention was to count on the larger participation of public, as well as facilitating the presence of Anahp and its directors during the World Hospital Congress”.
